Caravan
How does it sound?
HOW DOES HOME SOUND? Four musical friends sort packages. They know exactly where everything should go. Until one parcel goes out of place. Now they have to listen carefully where it belongs. Piano man Julian, Turkish flute player Sinan, tough viola player Yanna and percussion genius Jeroen follow the melody. With a piano, a bag full of Turkish flutes, a viola and a pile of drums, they set off. The world is making music but their pack sounds different. What should they do?
Caravan is a musical search for the sound of home with Arabic, Irish and Turkish sounds mixed with classical music and jazz.
"The mix of Eastern and Western sounds swings, it's jazz, it's classical, worldly and contemporary. Caravan fits perfectly musically on a festival stage and lights up a theater hall full of children just as well." "... So for parents and children who love music, this theatrical concert is definitely recommended." Theater newspaper

On the stage
The top young musicians of JULIAN SCHNEEMANN & FRIENDS travel boundlessly through the worlds of classical, jazz, Eastern and Western folk music. In their first year, their acclaimed debut album was released and they played the audiences of the Concertgebouw, Bimhuis and Paradiso completely flat. "A party to cope with the less fun sides of life." - [Het Parool

Direction Robin Coops
Robin Coops is a multidisciplinary artist. Robin's work explores the dialogue between different art disciplines to create one unified composition. His work focuses on the movements of sound, space and the performers' bodies. He does not think in boundaries, but instead asks himself each time: what form does this work need? The result can be a film, opera, concert, installation or VR experience. Under his M31 Foundation, he produced and directed projects such as the opera Der Kaiser von Atlantis in collaboration with the Nederlandse Reisopera and the audiovisual performance Disconnect. He has made 'music films' for ensembles such as the Ragazze Quartet and Stargaze Ensemble. This year Robin will realize projects under music theater company Silbersee and the VR Academy, among others. robincoops.com

FOR HOME
A PIECE OF CAKE
This is how you make your own whistle!
What do you need. A straw, a dark marker and scissors
Press one end of the straw flat with your finger. Cut an elongated sharp point there. With a dark marker, draw a small circle every 3 cm along the length of the straw, and cut it out until you have small holes. Make sure you can cover them with your fingers. Stick the straw in your mouth and whistle away!
