The Ironing Boards Quartet

How does it sound?

How does contrarian sound? The four Ragazze string everything from classical to modern, neatly in tune, every day. Until suddenly everything detunes and a few strings snap. What used to be beautifully smoothed out now gets completely out of tune! The Ragazze set to work to untangle the knots and find each other again. After all, a quartet is and remains a quartet. Together with the Ragazze Quartet, Gienke Deuten and visual artist Arjen de Leeuw create this wonderful musical performance in which more than two centuries of music for string quartet are reviewed.

Premiere: Jan. 26, 2013 at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam.
Played until April 14, 2013.
