The Peanut Butter Prince
How does it sound?
Once upon a time -not long ago- there was a street, where it was always raining, day in and day out. In the street there was a house, where there was always fighting year in and year out. In the house lived a family: a father, a mother and three children. You had Esmaraldadina, she was the oldest. Jaak was the youngest. And Valentijntino was in between.
One day the children decide that enough is enough. There must be a solution to all this quarreling and all this rain. Then they hear of an old wise man who lives in the forest. He is said to live by the wind and talk to the animals; maybe he has the solution! That night they climb out the window and go in search of the wise man. A long journey right through a giant fairy tale forest with tough ninja pirates, sweet witches and...a peanut butter prince.
Unadulterated rock&roll and blistering baroque accompany the three heroes on their adventurous journey. A performance for anyone who has ever walked in the rain. The Peanut Butter Prince is a co-production of Orkater, Holland Baroque and Oorkaan.

Erik van der Horst graduated from the Toneelacademie in Maastricht in 2006. Since then he has worked, among other things, with Orkater, where he formed The Sadists with two friends. The trio was part of the talent project Orkater/De Nieuwkomers, in which young creators are given the opportunity to develop further. For Orkater Erik composed among others the music for The return of Hansel and Gretel. www.erikvanderhorst.nl
Maartje van de Wetering graduated from the Amsterdam School of Drama & Kleinkunstacademie in 2008. After graduating, she became an actress with the NNT in Groningen and played in almost all of the NNT's performances such as Hamlet, Salome and Alice in Wonderland. Maartje in several films and TV series, including Men's Hearts 2, Divorce and Flikken Rotterdam.
Kaspar Schellingerhout graduated from the acting program at the Toneelacademie Maastricht in 2007 and founded the musical theater group The Sadists in 2006. They made among others the successful performances Drink! Rockabilly Roadkill and Onward! Kaspar can also be seen in Ramses and in the feature film Back to the Coast.

Ria Marks Direction
Ria Marks attended the Akademie voor Expressie door Woord en Gebaar in Utrecht, where she met Titus Tiel Groenestege. Together they made, among other things, the theatrical triptych False Waltz - Bankroll - Sigh and with film director Mark de Cloe the film inspired by this triptych False Waltz, for which they won the prestigious Prix Italia, received a Canadian Rocky and were nominated for an Emmy Award. For Oorkaan, Ria Marks directed, among other things, the revival of the successful music performance The Verb(l)azing and the performance Turn, Organ!

Make your own Magic Umbrella!
What do you need. Markers, tape, straw and a printer.
After the performance, you can make your own magic umbrella. But you can also work on this at home. Download the drawing of the magic umbrella below, print it out, color in the drawing and draw in the empty strips your favorite fairy tale characters, fold the umbrella around and stick the strips together with tape, take the straw and attach it firmly with tape in the middle to the bottom of the umbrella and you have your own magic umbrella!
