HOW DOES THE UNKNOWN SOUND?
Those who are curious discover the most beautiful and crazy things. Diamanda, Marcus and Yanna prove this in their quest for the sound of the unknown. Trio Diamanda takes the audience on a musical journey through Bach's Goldberg Variations, Garth Knox's contemporary compositions and energetic melodies from Irish Folk traditions.
Vreemde Streken is a physical concert, in which the three musicians explore the boundaries of a poetic soundscape like true pioneers, merging musical worlds with their instrument. Experimental and folksy sounds, with a recognizable Bachian pattern as a handhold for the young listener.

TRIO DIAMANDA is a classical string trio formation formed around rising star violinist Diamanda Dramm (Dutch Classical Talent 2018) with Yanna Pelser on viola and Marcus van den Munckhof on cello. Beppie Blankert (b. 1949) began her career in 1969. She worked in several small dance companies in the Netherlands, Denmark and Wales. For the past ten years she has toured the Netherlands, England, the U.S. and Canada with her work.
Beppie Blankert has always had a special relationship with music in her work as a dancer and as a choreographer. Louis Andriessen, Harry de Wit, Henk van der Meulen, Steve Martland and Ron Ford have all composed new music for her. In addition to music, literature and visual art are important sources of inspiration.
