Quartets with Beethoven

How Does It Sound?

HOW DOES QUARTETS WITH GOLD SOUND? At Quartets with Beethoven the Dudok Quartet Amsterdam breaks open Beethoven's famous String Quartet opus 132 to young ears.
Four musicians play a quartet game outside with each other. "Do you have for me from the strings the viola?", "I am still missing from the numbers number 4", "Who has from the metamorphosis the butterfly?", "And who has the most beautiful color of gold?"

Without words, the quartet takes you into a musical game with different moods and colors. Beethoven's genius musical piece is always in motion and, like the cards in the game, is shuffled over and over again. Will all the musical colors eventually come together?

A concert full of imaginative imagery, movement, magic and wonder with Beethoven's finest music.

Make a Butterfly Violin Mask

Make a Butterfly Violin Mask

First, download the butterfly violin mask and print it out on an A4. Color or decorate the butterfly as you like, cut out the butterfly and the holes along the dotted line. Thread a rubber band or string through the small holes, tie a knot and put your mask on and flutter away!
Your eyes are looking out!

Download HERE the mask.

Make your own quartet game

Make your own quartet game

First, download the quartet game frames and print them out on 2 A4 sheets. Draw or glue the cards like a quartet. Think of 8 different categories for each quartet series, e.g. 'insects' or 'instruments' and think of 4 corresponding names for each category, e.g. for the insects: a butterfly, a fly, a wasp and a bee. Write these on the cards, make a nice drawing to go with them, cut them out and quartet away!

Download HERE it the quartet game frames. Note! It is 2 pages!
