What does a pear sound like? A mysterious ad in the Yellow Pages: BV The Piano Men, for all your composer's rooms. One phone call and two men are on your doorstep. To furnish the room of the composer Erik Satie for you this time. We get not only his furniture in the house, but also a strange bird in a cage, a noisy typewriter, an old photograph of a singer, and...? BV The Piano Men is an adventurous music performance focusing on the piano music of the eccentric French composer Erik Satie.
Premiere: Aug. 24, 2008 at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam.
