Educational material: The Square of Mister Sax

Mr. Sax's Square

Today we are going to march like a real brass band! That sounds festive, but how does it sound when the brass band is tired, and no longer feels like marching down the street? Or when a girl from the brass band gets a love letter, and the others are jealous? In Mr. Sax's Square a brass band plays on the square where Mister Sax lives. Who that is, Johannes, Dineke, Paulina and Simone only find out when the door to his mysterious little house finally opens.

Mr. Sax's Square is a theatrical concert for everyone ages 6 and up, featuring the horns of the sparkling Ebonit Saxophone Quartet. Director Jochem Stavenuiter (mime theater group Bambie) turns it into a compelling pageant with lots of humor. With music by Ligeti, Ravel, Bach and Rossini, among others.
