INTERVIEW WITH BEATBOXER B-ART BY DANIQUE (10) OF THE CHILDREN'S COUNCIL FOR MUSIC AND HER NEPHEW TIM

Danique and Tim, as true VIPS, were invited to the run-through of Superball, Lollipop & Mr. Classic (8+) with Slagwerk Den Haag. In this interview Danique and Tim ask beatboxer B-Art (Superball) about his performance and let us know what they thought of the concert:

Are you nervous when you play?
No it's not so bad, we all have to do crazy things in the beginning of the rehearsal and because of that the nerves slowly go away.

Is this your first show?
Yes this is my first theater show. I have done many shows by myself or with two beatboxers. I also worked with a violinist once, but that was only for one show. This is the first time really for theater. This is also the first time we will tour.

Do you like your role?
Yes, I knew there were three names and when the Children's Council said I was Superball, I was kind of happy with that name because that was the name I liked.

Superball is tough, up front, confident and the connector among the others. He talks everything together.

How often will you perform?
There are now 20 shows scheduled throughout the Netherlands and even one in Germany. It can be sold more often. So if the show is an even bigger success, maybe more can play later.

What is your job in daily life?
I teach in elementary schools and high schools and then I teach beatbox and I teach loop station. A loop station is a device that keeps repeating itself. So that's what I do.
