Rock Paper Scissors

How does it sound?

What does a sensitive string sound like? Ollie is an old grump who loves order and cleanliness. One day, the quick-witted, rambunctious Yuki falls in with him. This changes the world for Ollie and Yuki. Together they rediscover things they had completely forgotten. The musician Ralph Rousseau goes through it all. Stringing, swinging and wringing, he lets them hear what he thinks of it.

Stone Paper Scissors is a comic adventure without words. The scenery, puppets and props are all made of paper. Paper is used to cut, tear, bend, beat and caress. And of course Ralph Rousseau is there, playing his viola da gamba as if it were his beloved. Rock Paper Scissors is based on Rock Paper Scissors by Corey Madden and Laural Meade, produced and first released by Childsplay, Arizona.

Premiere: Sept. 12, 2010 at Speeltheater Holland, Edam.
