Five!
HOW DOES CELEBRATING TOGETHER SOUND?
A blue one with a cape made of sleeves. A gray warrior with paper muscles. A mega-yellow magician, and a red one with a hundred strings. Oh, and of course, Guy! Let’s hope that goes well… When they combine their special powers, something happens that only occurs once every 105 years! Before you know it, you’re somewhere else. You hear music. It’s getting closer and closer. Four musicians play cheerfully, hopping and stumbling. Together, they’re celebrating something special. The four of them together—that’s a party!
The four top musicians of the Oorkaan Ensemble perform theatrical concerts without words. They blend different cultures and musical traditions. They tell nothing more than the story you can hear in the music. That is in Five! A whole journey, filled with Turkish sounds, Mozart, and more. And it ends with a party.
Five! Co-directed by Caecilia Thunnissen and Yorick Stam, this is a cheerful theatrical concert for everyone ages 5 to 105, full of (un)familiar sounds, movement, and humor. Longtime Oorkaan fans may still remember it as *Vier!*, but in honor of the anniversary, the show is returning as a festive remake!
