3ACH, a stairway to heaven
How does
J.S. Bach is a monument, a wizard of sound and melodies, a genius who strung together dazzling fugues, preludes, chorales and partitas and 250 years after his death is still topping the charts. In 3ACH, two violinists guide us through the visualized world of Bach: together they weave his melodies along inimitable harmonies. Composer Piet-Jan van Rossum transforms Bach's music for 2 baroque violins and tape, subtly adding a digital sound world that connects the music played live with the video setting in which the musicians find themselves. A multimedia performance in which the audience is transported and immersed in what many believe to be the most beautiful music ever written.
