WHAT DOES IT SOUND LIKE?
You hear the water dripping softly from the plants.
A cricket sounds in the distance.
The hour is blue.
The time between day and night when everyone is still sleeping but is almost awake.
The moon has just left, the sun has not yet risen.
What happens in the blue hour?
Who is secretly awake already?
Who waits for the sun to come?
Who would rather hide in the darkness?
Dauw is a cozy family concert where the magic of the blue hour and Andalusian and Arabic music transport you into a dream world. The Amsterdam Andalusian Orchestra tells the story that you can hear from the music. The age-old instruments, the oud, the ney and the rabab, present a rich repertoire from Granada to Baghdad. Theatrical elements, humor & playfulness make this visual listening experience accessible to everyone from 6 to 106 years old. In Oorkaan's theatrical concerts, musicians play the music by heart and by heart. Their style of play is physical, a language that every child can identify with. And “Language no Problem,” because the only language that can be heard is the music.
