Cambur Pin-Tón

WHAT DOES VENEZUELA SOUND LIKE IN VIENNA?

This staged concert by Oorkaan and Jeunesse offers a special visual listening experience for the whole family. The Tocuyito Trio takes us on a colorful journey into the magical and fiery world of Venezuelan sounds and rhythms. "Cambur Pintón" (ripe banana) is a danceable journey with explosive rhythms and exotic soundscapes. This staged concert weaves Venezuelan culture and nature, its mysterious mountains and tales of magical creatures into a musical fabric. Cambur Pin-Tón is a new direction by Caecilia Thunnissen with piano trio Tocuyito Trio.

Staged elements, humor and the music make this performance appropriate for everyone from ages 6 to 106.

This international co-production of Jeunesse Austria and Oorkaan offers a whole new take on the classical piano trio. You won't want to miss it!

Joseph Avilia (pianist of the Tocuyito Trio) on the Jeunesse-Oorkaan-Academy: "For me, participating in the Jeunesse-Oorkaan-Academy was the perfect introduction to a world of creative possibilities in which I now feel at home. It broadened my professional outlook and gave me extra pleasure in making music."

ABOUT THE JEUNESSE-OORKAAN-ACADEMY

At the Jeunesse-Oorkaan-Academy, artistic director Caecilia Thunnissen collaborates with Oorkaan’s regular trainers, musicians, and creators to develop and perform staged concerts for young audiences. These concerts, created using the "Oorkaan method," have been presented at prestigious venues such as the Elbphilharmonie, the Philharmonie Luxembourg, Baden-Baden, and the Salzburg Festival, earning numerous international nominations and awards.

The academy offers two weeks of intensive master classes over a six-month period in Amsterdam and Grafenegg (AT). During this time, a Triolino production is created and performed for children as young as 3 years old, as part of a series of four productions per season by Jeunesse, premiering in Vienna and touring throughout Austria.
