Venezuelan culture and nature
The Tocuyito Trio takes you into the magical and fiery world of Venezuelan sounds and rhythms. Cambur Pin-Tón, which means "ripe banana" in Venezuelan, is a colorful and dancing journey with explosive rhythms and exotic soundscapes. Inspiration for this theatrical concert are the rich Venezuelan culture and nature, with mysterious mountains and stories of magical creatures, which are expressed through the music.

This Venezuelan piano trio, which lives and works in Vienna, previously followed the Jeunesse-Oorkaan-Academy. "Our trio is colorful, virtuosic and joyful," said violinist Dalina Ugarte, pianist Joseph Avila and cellist Santo Scala. The folk music of Venezuela brings anecdotes and images of their homeland to life.

Director Caecilia Thunnissen and the Tocuyito Trio created this theatrical concert in Vienna together with an international artistic team consisting the Austrian scenographer Sophie Baumgartner, the Colombian choreographer Laura Aya, the Polish lighting designer Bartek Kubiak and Dutch directorial assistant Wieger Meulenbroek.

The Tocuyito Trio was founded in Vienna in 2018 and has since performed in renowned concert halls such as the Wiener Musikverein, the Wiener Konzerthaus, the Mozarteum Stiftung, and at festivals such as the Kultursommer Wien.
