How does it sound?
How does it sound different? What do you bring when you have two countries? From the first country songs you thoughtlessly sing and words you could already pronounce well when you were little. From the second country new sounds you first broke your tongue at, new songs that soon became familiar. Because music can be understood even without words. Two countries, two eyes, two ears and one mouth with ten voices.
A musical performance about the power of living more than one story. Keep your ears and eyes open for the wondrous difference! With extraordinary texts by writer Joke van Leeuwen and quirky jazz music full of Turkish influences.
Premiere: March 17, 2012 at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam.
