Elektrische Fische

How does it sound?

'Electric Fische' tells the story of 13-year-old Emma, who must move from Dublin to a small town in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania with her mother and two siblings.
This sudden change causes her much grief; she misses her grandparents, the English language, even the tea bags, which look very different in Germany. Together with her new school friend
Levin she devises a plan to be able to return to her homeland. The sea as the connection and separation between the two places takes on a whole new meaning when Levin's mother
suddenly needs help and Emma responds at the right time. 'Electric Fische' is about change, homesickness, family and friendship, and searches for answers to the question, "What does
home for me?"

'Electric Fische' is a mobile youth opera (10+) based on the children's novel by Susan Kreller.

a co-production of the Wiener Staatsoper, Jeunesse and Oorkaan
